Ferry Street Re-Opening

We are excited to announce that beginning Monday morning at 8 a.m. November 9, 2020, Ferry Street will be re-opened to traffic. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to proceed through the area slowly and carefully given the new traffic pattern and continued construction activity in the area.

Our contractors have worked diligently around weather delays to ensure the road was ready for opening as soon as possible. Over the past several days crews laid out and completed the installation of thermoplastic line striping, thermoplastic crosswalk markings, and the installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons.

The re-opening of Ferry Street marks the near completion of the City’s $3.9 million dollar road infrastructure project. Final improvements such as landscaping, signs, lighting fixtures, and electric vehicle charging stations will continue in November 2020 and Spring 2021.
